The "Mirror" command can be used to facilitate the creation of the members in symmetrical buildings.<\/span>

After completing one part of the floor plan, the other part can be generated with the mirror command. To mirror the elements:<\/span>
<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n

  1. \n
    Select\/ Multiple-select the members that will be mirrored. <\/span>
    <\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  2. \n
    Choose the "Mirror" option <\/span> in the shortcut menu (displayed by right-clicking after selection).<\/span>
    <\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  3. \n
    Pick an axis that is going to be used as the axis of symmetry for mirroring. <\/span>
    <\/span>Note that, if such an axis does not exist, you can create one and delete it after completing mirroring.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/i><\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  4. \n
    The "Mirror Characters" tab will be loaded.<\/span>
    <\/span>
    Beam Wall Loads and Wall Opening can be mirrored as well.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  5. \n
    Click "OK" button to start Mirror objects.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
    Axes perpendicular to the axis of symmetry will be extended automatically to create intersections with the mirrored axes. For example, the Axis B in the GIF below is automatically extended so the mirrored column can be inserted in the intersection point of Axis B and Axis 1'.<\/span><\/div>\n
