Some of them might be warnings which requires you to verify and decide whether to rectify or to ignore<br \/><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: disc\"><span class=\"colour\"><span class=\"size\" style=\"font-size: 16px\">Actual member labels will be stated; hence go back to locate and verify the problem stated<br \/><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div><span class=\"colour\"><span class=\"size\" style=\"font-size: 16px\">The list of errors\/warnings in the building model checks are:<\/span><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<h2 class=\"toc_anchors\" id=\"Overlapping_Slabs_Check\"><span class=\"colour\">Overlapping Slabs Check<br \/><\/span><\/h2>\n<div><span class=\"colour\"><span class=\"size\" style=\"font-size: 16px\">This error occurs when two slab edges overlap each other. The slab nodes should not be overlapping each other, otherwise slab loads may not be calculated correctly.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<div><span style=\"margin: 10px 0px;position: relative;padding: 10px 10px 10px 40px\" class=\"KB_New_Editor_Highlights\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/protasoftware.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/prota-doc-6530ee41434e7e28910da50ee26004fa.png\" data-type=\"non-resize\" style=\"position: absolute;left: 12px;top: 14px;width: 15px;max-width: 100%\" data-image=\"contentStyle\" alt=\"Alert\"><\/p>\n<div><span class=\"size\" style=\"font-size: 16px\"><span class=\"colour\">This is a critical error and must be corrected.&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<p><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h2 class=\"toc_anchors\" id=\"Check_Slabs_with_Small_Area_and_Aspect_Ratio\"><b><span class=\"colour\">Check Slabs with Small Area and Aspect Ratio<\/span><\/b><span class=\"colour\"><br \/><\/span><\/h2>\n<div style=\"font-size: 16px;letter-spacing: 0.1px\"><span class=\"colour\">This warning will be prompted if a very small slab exists in the model. <\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"font-size: 16px;letter-spacing: 0.1px\">\n<div><span style=\"margin: 10px 0px;position: relative;padding: 10px 10px 10px 40px\" class=\"KB_New_Editor_Highlights\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/protasoftware.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/prota-doc-77ceca3bd1f96104af353a5f3c1e6362.png\" data-type=\"non-resize\" style=\"position: absolute;left: 12px;top: 14px;width: 15px;max-width: 100%\" data-image=\"contentStyle\" alt=\"Notes\"><\/p>\n<div>This is not a critical error but a warning, which can be ignored if it is the model intention after due checking.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<p><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"toc_anchors\" id=\"Check_Invalid_Slab_polygon\"><span class=\"colour\">Check Invalid Slab polygon<br \/><\/span><\/h2>\n<div style=\"font-size: 16px;letter-spacing: 0.1px\"><span class=\"colour\">This error occurs when the slab edges are not inserted properly and therefore the slab edge nodes are not entirely connected effectively to the beam nodes. This may result in missing slab loads on the beams.<br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"font-size: 16px;letter-spacing: 0.1px\"><span class=\"colour\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"font-size: 16px;letter-spacing: 0.1px\"><span class=\"colour\">To investigate this error you should check in plan view if the slab nodes are effectively supported by the beams. It can be ignored for flat slab system<\/span>.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<p><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"toc_anchors\" id=\"Check_Overlapping_Beams_with_Beams_and_Walls\"><span class=\"colour\">Check Overlapping Beams with Beams and Walls<br \/><\/span><\/h2>\n<div><span class=\"size\" style=\"font-size: 16px\"><span class=\"colour\">This error occurs when there are two or more beams\/walls overlapping each other.<br \/><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span class=\"size\" style=\"font-size: 16px\"><span class=\"colour\"><br \/><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span class=\"size\" style=\"font-size: 16px\"><span class=\"colour\">To ensure that the beams\/wall do not overlap, click &quot;Yes&quot; when prompted with the message to split the beams when crossing over supporting spans.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<h3>\n<div style=\"font-size: 15px;font-weight: 400\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-zdeskdocselectedclass=\"original\" class=\"docsimage\" data-zdeskdocid=\"img_8302504801160482\" style=\"max-width: 100%\" src=\"https:\/\/desk.zoho.com\/DocsDisplay?zgId=672206093&amp;mode=inline&amp;blockId=1e7e2cfeca7107f294d33824b7f5f78b35be9\"><\/div>\n<\/h3>\n<div>\n<div><span style=\"margin: 10px 0px;position: relative;padding: 10px 10px 10px 40px\" class=\"KB_New_Editor_Highlights\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"position: absolute;left: 12px;top: 14px;width: 15px;max-width: 100%\" src=\"https:\/\/protasoftware.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/prota-doc-6530ee41434e7e28910da50ee26004fa.png\" data-type=\"non-resize\" data-image=\"contentStyle\" alt=\"Alert\"><span class=\"colour\"><span class=\"size\" style=\"font-size: 16px\">This is a serious error and should be corrected.<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"Validity_of_Axis_Intersections_Check\" class=\"toc_anchors\"><span class=\"colour\">Validity of Axis Intersections Check<\/span><br \/><\/h2>\n<div><span class=\"colour\"><span class=\"size\" style=\"font-size: 16px\">This error occurs when an axis is modified and no longer intersects with the corresponding axis but the intersection is still needed by an existing member.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<div><span style=\"margin: 10px 0px;position: relative;padding: 10px 10px 10px 40px\" class=\"KB_New_Editor_Highlights\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/protasoftware.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/prota-doc-6530ee41434e7e28910da50ee26004fa.png\" data-type=\"non-resize\" style=\"position: absolute;left: 12px;top: 14px;width: 15px;max-width: 100%\" data-image=\"contentStyle\" alt=\"Alert\"><\/p>\n<div><span class=\"size\" style=\"font-size: 16px\"><span class=\"colour\">This is a serious error and should be corrected.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<p><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"toc_anchors\" id=\"Proximity_of_Axis_Intersections_Check\"><span class=\"colour\">Proximity of Axis Intersections Check<\/span><br \/><\/h2>\n<div><span class=\"colour\"><span class=\"size\" style=\"font-size: 16px\">When the intersection of axes are too close to each other (less then 10mm) this warning will be prompted. <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span class=\"colour\"><span class=\"size\" style=\"font-size: 16px\">Having too many intersection of axes too close to each other may promote mistakes in modelling and it is very difficult to snap to the correct intersection point. <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span class=\"colour\"><span class=\"size\" style=\"font-size: 16px\"><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span class=\"colour\"><span class=\"size\" style=\"font-size: 16px\">In the example below, the 3 axes seem to be intersecting each other at a common point, but when zoomed in, there are actually 3 no. of axes intersection that are very close to each other.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span class=\"colour\"><span class=\"size\" style=\"font-size: 14px\"><span class=\"colour\">&nbsp;<\/span><img decoding=\"async\" data-zdeskdocselectedclass=\"best\" data-zdeskdocid=\"img_9190165785790354\" class=\"docsimage\" style=\"padding: 0px;max-width: 100%;width: 319.5px;height: auto\" src=\"https:\/\/desk.zoho.com\/DocsDisplay?zgId=672206093&amp;mode=inline&amp;blockId=1e7e2c1be2fcd5f2e4a6d8b554143fd829d45\"><span class=\"colour\"> &nbsp; The following are good axes modelling guidelines to prevent this problem :<br \/><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: disc\"><span class=\"colour\"><span class=\"size\" style=\"font-size: 16px\">When creating additional axis (example Axis G above), ensure to snap exactly at the correct intersecting point instead of a visual estimation<br \/><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: disc\"><span class=\"colour\"><span class=\"size\" style=\"font-size: 16px\">Do not model axes too close to each other. Take note that good structural behavior is to be prioritized; minor architectural offsets should be ignored.  For example, it is not advisable to model 2 no of parallel axes that are say 50mm part &#8211; there is negligible difference in structural behavior.<br \/><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: disc\"><span class=\"colour\"><span class=\"size\" style=\"font-size: 16px\">Keep axis short and localized to where is used by members.  In other words, it&#8217;s not always necessary to draw very long axis if it is only used by a single column as a long axis will intersect with many other axes to create unused (redundant) nodes. <br \/><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: circle\"><span class=\"colour\"><span class=\"size\" style=\"font-size: 16px\">If axes and members are already created, there is a function to automatically shorten the axes by selecting axes &gt; Right-click &gt; &quot;Stretch Axis to Member Insertion&quot;<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/ol>\n<p><\/span><\/div>\n<h2 class=\"toc_anchors\" id=\"Check_Overlapping_Axes\"><span class=\"colour\">Check Overlapping Axes<br \/><\/span><\/h2>\n<div><span class=\"colour\"><span class=\"size\" style=\"font-size: 16px\">This is to check if two or more axes exists in the same location (example shown below).<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" data-zdeskdocselectedclass=\"best\" data-zdeskdocid=\"img_4831947744835561\" class=\"docsimage\" style=\"padding: 0px;max-width: 100%;width: 214px;height: auto\" src=\"https:\/\/desk.zoho.com\/DocsDisplay?zgId=672206093&amp;mode=inline&amp;blockId=1e7e27aba8f04512d4130a188d23710ee5fef\"><\/div>\n<div><span class=\"colour\"><span class=\"size\" style=\"font-size: 16px\">To fix this, delete one of the overlapping axis.&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span class=\"colour\"><span class=\"size\" style=\"font-size: 16px\">If members are already created using a particular axis, it will be necessary to delete the member first. To find out members associated with the axis :&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span class=\"colour\"><span class=\"size\" style=\"font-size: 16px\">1.&nbsp; Select the axis<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span class=\"colour\"><span class=\"size\" style=\"font-size: 16px\">2.&nbsp; Right- click &gt; Pick &quot;List Members using the Axis&quot;<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<div><span style=\"margin: 10px 0px;position: relative;padding: 10px 10px 10px 40px\" class=\"KB_New_Editor_Highlights\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/protasoftware.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/prota-doc-77ceca3bd1f96104af353a5f3c1e6362.png\" data-type=\"non-resize\" style=\"position: absolute;left: 12px;top: 14px;width: 15px;max-width: 100%\" data-image=\"contentStyle\" alt=\"Notes\"><\/p>\n<div><span class=\"size\" style=\"font-size: 16px\">This is not a critical error; analysis &amp; design can still be done.&nbsp; However, there is be confusion which axis will be used for associated elements in the design and drawing production phase.<\/span>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<p><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h2 class=\"toc_anchors\" id=\"Axis_Exact_Orthogonality_Check\"><span class=\"colour\"><span class=\"size\" style=\"font-size: 24px\">Axis Exact Orthogonality Check<\/span><span class=\"size\" style=\"font-size: 16px\"><br \/><\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n<div><span class=\"colour\"><span class=\"size\" style=\"font-size: 16px\">This warning is prompted as a check on the orthogonality of the axes if a nearly orthogonal axis exists, example if the axes has a rotation angle of 0.001 degrees.<\/span><\/span><span class=\"size\" style=\"font-size: 16px\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span class=\"size\" style=\"font-size: 16px\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span class=\"colour\"><span class=\"size\" style=\"font-size: 16px\">To rectify this warning, you may click on the \u201cReview\u201d tab and click on <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/support.protasoftware.com\/portal\/en\/kb\/articles\/review-tab#Fix_the_Almost-Orthogonal_Axes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"size\" style=\"font-size: 16px\">Fix the Almost Orthogonal Axes<\/span><\/a><span class=\"size\" style=\"font-size: 16px\">.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span class=\"colour\"><\/p>\n<div><span style=\"margin: 10px 0px;position: relative;padding: 10px 10px 10px 40px\" class=\"KB_New_Editor_Highlights\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/protasoftware.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/prota-doc-77ceca3bd1f96104af353a5f3c1e6362.png\" data-type=\"non-resize\" style=\"position: absolute;left: 12px;top: 14px;width: 15px;max-width: 100%\" data-image=\"contentStyle\" alt=\"Notes\"><\/p>\n<div><span class=\"colour\"><span class=\"size\" style=\"font-size: 16px\">It is not critical error and is mor of warning;&nbsp; may be ignored based on user&#8217;s judgement.&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span class=\"colour\"><span class=\"size\" style=\"font-size: 16px\">This warning may lead to problems of slab insertion or meshing of slabs in FE Floor Analysis or Building Analysis. <br \/><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span class=\"colour\"><span class=\"size\" style=\"font-size: 16px\">This problem may be caused by imported axes from Dxf drawing,&nbsp;
