New sheeting can be manually added.&nbsp;<br \/><\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\" align-left\" style=\"text-align: left;list-style-type: square\"><b><span class=\"colour\">Default Stud<\/span><\/b><span class=\"colour\">&nbsp;: Set the default stud.&nbsp; New stud can be manually added.&nbsp;<br \/><\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\" align-left\" style=\"text-align: left;list-style-type: square\"><span class=\"colour\"><b>Stud Generation<\/b>:&nbsp;Defines the method used to place shear studs&nbsp;<br \/><\/span><\/li>\n<ol>\n<li class=\" align-left\" style=\"text-align: left;list-style-type: disc\"><span class=\"colour\"><b>Composite Degree<\/b>: Program will optimize the number and arrangement of shear studs to achieve the desired level of composite action between the steel beam and concrete slab.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\" align-left\" style=\"text-align: left;list-style-type: disc\"><span class=\"colour\"><b>Stud Spacing<\/b>: Stud spacing will generate differently based on primary &amp; secondary beams&#8217; selection.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br \/><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<li class=\" align-left\" style=\"text-align: left;list-style-type: square\"><span class=\"colour\"><b>Stud Layout<\/b> : Select &quot;<b>Uniform<\/b>&quot; or &quot;<b>Segmented<\/b>&quot;&nbsp;<\/span><span class=\"colour\"><br \/><\/span><\/li>\n<ol>\n<li class=\" align-left\" style=\"text-align: left;list-style-type: disc\"><b><span class=\"colour\">Segmented<\/span><\/b><span class=\"colour\"> : ProtaStructure can detect different segments on the beam where there is an inflection point or point<br \/>\nload. The change in the moment diagram is usually evident in primary composite beams, which may<br \/>\nbe moment-connected to columns and supporting other secondary composite beams.<br \/>\nThe total number of shear studs is distributed between the inflection point and the maximum moment<br \/>\nlocation. A nominal stud spacing is used in negative moment regions.<\/span><span class=\"colour\"><br \/><\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\" align-left\" style=\"text-align: left;list-style-type: disc\"><b><span class=\"colour\">Uniform<\/span><\/b><span class=\"colour\"> :&nbsp;&nbsp;If you don\u2019t want to use a segmented layout, you can switch to a \u201cUniform Stud Layout\u201d.
