Layer and color settings are controlled from here.  The \u201cLayers\u201d<\/i><\/b> form can be loaded by clicking the \u201cLayers and Color Settings\u201d<\/i><\/b> option under the \u201cBuilding Setout\u201d<\/i><\/b> ribbon.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

    I<\/span><\/span>ndividual layers can be switched on or off.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      In the Graphic Editor, members are automatically defined in specified layers according to their member types.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
        \n
      • \n
        Different layers for different member types help to improve the readability of the drawing. <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
          \n
        • \n
          At the same time, different layers yield to view only some of the member types by freezing the rest of them.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
            \n
          • \n
            In the \u201c<\/b><\/span><\/span>Layer Settings Table<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/i>\u201d<\/b>, you can freeze or thaw a layer by clicking the check box column at the beginning of each layer line. The layers frozen will neither show on the screen nor send to printer or plotter.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              When you export a drawing to a CAD program, the names defined in the \u201c<\/b><\/span><\/span>Layer Description<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/i>\u201d<\/b> column will be the layer names in the CAD environment.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                Colors of the drawing elements (such as text, line, or circle), can be modified in the \u201c<\/b><\/span><\/span>Color<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/i>\u201d<\/b> column. When you select a cell on the colour column of the table, a colour list will be displayed with the colour choices available.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                  Different line thickness values can be assigned to different layers in the \u201c<\/b><\/span><\/span>Line Width<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/i>\u201d<\/b> column.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                    Similar to line width, different line types can be assigned to different layers. When you click a cell on the \u201c<\/b><\/span><\/span>Line Type<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/i>\u201d<\/b> column, a list showing various line types will be displayed. You can use the \u201c<\/b><\/span><\/span>Line Type Scale<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/i>\u201d<\/b> field in \u201c<\/b><\/span><\/span>Display Settings<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/i>\u201d<\/b> dialog to define the drawing scale of the lines.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                      Text font and height can be modified in the \u201c<\/b><\/span><\/span>Layer Settings Table<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/i>\u201d<\/b> as well. When you click a cell on the \u201c<\/b><\/span><\/span>Text Font<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/i>\u201d <\/b>column, font choices will be displayed in a list.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                        If you want to save changes, close the \u201c<\/b><\/span><\/span>Layer Settings Table<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/i>\u201d<\/b> by clicking the \u201c<\/b><\/span><\/span>OK<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/i>\u201d<\/b> button.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                          You can search for a specific layer by typing into the search box provided at the bottom of the layers dialog.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                            You can defined theme colour for modeling members by select "<\/b><\/span><\/span>Dark Background<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/i>" or "<\/b><\/span><\/span>Light Background<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/i>" <\/b>or "<\/b><\/span><\/span>Custom<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/i>"<\/b> in pulldown list  provided at the bottom of the layers dialog. <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
