Every once in a while I pull out this old 70-300mm Quantaray lens that I have owned for over 10 years and take some photos with it. It's worked for me with every Nikon I've owned, thankfully, and when I went from film to digital that extra 50% from the crop factor gave it quite a nice boost in zoom.
