On my way to work I spotted this crazy handlebar configuration, passed it, then walked back to photograph it.
Lately I've been using the T3i's liveview in manual focus mode with the Sigma 30mm ƒ/1.4 and have been very happy with the results. You have to move the focus square to where you want it in the composed photo, then tap the zoom-in view button twice to get a full-scale focus view. This lets you nail your focus and your composition simultaneously. This technique works on other cameras as well, and in fact was exactly how I used the D300 and D3s with the PC-E 24mm in tilt/shift mode to get proper TS focus.
